Dino and the Aliens 1

This cheerful, nicely designed game offers a number of reasons to recommend it. In Dino and the Aliens, you control a little green dinosaur who must navigate a maze of obstacles to destroy all the aliens on the level. The 3D graphics are colorful and well-done, and the music and sound effects offer no cause for complaint. The overhead view of the action makes it easy to see where you're headed, particularly since arrow markers mark the path. It's nice you can control the game with your mouse or whatever keyboard combo suits you, though we thought it was easier to do the former. The first three tutorial levels introduce you to all the principal characters and gameplay elements, but seasoned gamers will probably wish for an option to skip these, particularly in light of the rather short trial period. At first, Dino and the Aliens isn't particularly challenging, but as you advance deeper, things become more complicated. Though children will probably enjoy this game the most, older players looking for a lighthearted romp might find it worth a round or two.
