Nokia N95 Has GPS Software..

The GPS functionality is the major addition to the N95 and marks a step forward for convergence. The onboard software is the key to this. The new Maps application allows you to browse around maps (which are downloaded onto your device over the air) in 2D or 3D and do route planning. The map coverage varies by country, but many places are covered down to street level. The software includes the ability to find addresses and location by street name, location and postcode. The onboard GPS allows you to jump to your current location and track yourself as you go.Other features include finding the nearest location in a certain category from a Point Of Information database (e.g. finding your nearest public transport station), storing landmarks (favourite locations), and switching to night colours. Maps is a very impressive application, which we will be covering in more detail later. In use, I found the GPS took a few minutes to ‘lock on’ when inside (next to a window) from a cold start; outside it was much quicker, as expected, and soft starts were faster still (a matter of a few seconds). A subjective first impression suggests the N95 has similar capabilities to SIRF II GPS chipsets. As with any GPS, performance will vary on your location and degree of visibility of satellites.

Priority: set to High
then press Done

Go to option again and make a second note and input as follows
Subject: Qoukie
Due Date: 29-01-2005(dd-mm-yy)
Priority: set to Low
then press Done

Do not exit yet. Highlight the Speed note, select Options and Mark as done.
Then highlight the Qoukie note, select Options and Mark as done.
Now, reboot your mobile.

This tip will increase ur phone speed including fast start up and browser, improve speed on camera and videocam app,3d Gaming, MP3 player and other application. IMPORTANT NOTE:
If you have Symantec Mobile Security installed, disable auto-protect or uninstall the whole thing if you feel safe enough without it because Symantec can’t recognize this trick and refuse to start. The better way is, change ur AV app to other. ex. F-secure, simswork av etc.

For a better performance, try these tips also……….

1. First, go to menu and select LOG and then press. Then press option, go to setting. On log duration set the log to 1 day. The more days its set, the slower it seems to be.

2. Use a Default theme. (For n3230 owner, no.2 default theme is pretty nice). If u install 3rd party theme, it will be slower especially if install it on MMC( the more ur MMC memory, the more your phone will be slow).
